Conference Speaking on Modelling Success
So You Aren’t Reinventing the Wheel
Most people have had the experience of being successful and achieving the results they aimed for, either in business, or in life. These same people have probably also had days where they felt nothing or little worked out as they planned it to. What is the difference between these days? Where does a successful performance come from and how can it be delivered consistently and when most required?
Theory suggests that if a person has delivered a great performance on one occasion then they are “competent” in what they are doing. What is required for consistent success is for the person to learn “how” they do what they do. This is a process called “Modelling your Successful Self”.
In this presentation we discuss the finer points of how to model your successful self and use an experiential activity to reinforce this learning. You can then assist your employees to understand how they create their best performances.
The key learning objectives for the session participants are:
- Understand what performance modelling is.
- Learn the key ingredients for delivering successful performances.
- Create strategies to elicit your own best performances.
- Discover the questions to ask your employees in order to elicit their performance strategy.
- Be able to apply and incorporate these strategies into your leadership.
